I'm a little concerned about the motor... does the mount flex at all? Try to secure the rear of the motor also so it can't move.

Straps for the batteries?

Loooking good.

BTW, my truggy weighs about 5200g with 12000mah 4s lipos (+1000g battery)

I don't think that battery has ever been run down more than about 70% :)

4S compared to 16 cells, no, thats not too powerfull. 5S would be closer.

Yes... you can have separate 2s and 3s packs but that means you have to charge two times.

You will be much better with a 5s charger.. or you can buy another charger like yours so you can charge both at the same time.

I have a few pic of my truck... in this thread http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5572 check post#14

but I need to get some new ones... maybe I can do that tonight.

Pierre, as long as we can understand your point, there's no reason why you should apologize for your weak English. Not that MY English is strong..:)

A good tip to get the power of the sixteen cells with only 4s lipos is to push your wallet up a bit and get yourself a pair of TrakPower's 4900mah 2s1p packs. They do produce monsterous raw power.
I even doubt your current sub-c cells are of the highenders.
A very good sub-c pack would cost over $100 sometimes. I'd rather spend it on a highend lipo, instead.
Get the TrakPower lipos!

Yeah, but I guess the motor will eventually fail. At 25.2 volts, the 8XL will become quite hot.

Believe me, get those TrakPowers...they'll make ya happy.

I would also be worried about the controller, 6S is alot of juice. Your truck with an 8XL and 4S lipo will be plenty for you. I have a LSP-R with an 8Xl, MM, heatsink, mount, 2 trakpower 4900, and it weighs right at 4.7kg, a little heavier than a stock nitro LSP, probably due to the aluminum arms. Geared conservatively it does 40 easily. LIPO batteries offer the best acceleration of ANY power source, get some LIPOS!:018:

@Pierre:
the thing with pinion was already mentioned here

another important thing:
your wires are too long

i mean the wires between motor and controller (also that is not that big of a problem)

AND the wires of batts to motor
(batts are side-by-side AND long wires)

--> in worst case it can destroy your controller !
so: try to make wires shorter !
