Motor Mounts . . . again

Alright, you guys are probably sick of this one. I need a motor mount for my Lehner 1940 that is going into my CRT. I've contacted Mike about it two or three times and no response. I know he's getting my e-mail too. Not sure what's up - I think he's just really busy. So, my question is - does anyone have a motor mount, or the ability to make one for me? I can do a paypal payment to you, or whatever. I think it would be the exact same as for the 1950 since they're the same diameter motors. I have tried to make a motor mount, and I just don't have the tools to do it well. Can anyone help me with this? Please?! :027:

Mike is making one for me as well for the CRT. I've been waiting for a while as he is really busy....think it's been about a month or so. I don't mind since I have other projects going on at the moment.

Cool - I'm on the CRT mount list too. I asked Mike to see if he could provide a mount that would allow me to use mechanical braking. Hopefully that's what's in the works.

If you have contacted me 2 or 3 times - were all 2 or 3 times in the same day? Unless all of your emails were sent over the weekend, I have replied to them almost certainly - perhaps they are in your spam filter( or yours in my filter perhaps)? I typically catch up on emails about every other day(Friday afternoon until Sunday emails typically are answered Monday unless the topic is urgent - I typically work on designing new parts, such as the crt motor mount for weekends, as I can potentially spend the needed time without interuption). "catching up" means filtering through well over 100+ emails, so sending them in triplicate only slows me down.
Now, I could reply all day and night to incoming emails, but that leaves no time to process orders, order supplies, keep the site in order, browse the forums, make custom parts(which need to be designed first), develop new parts, etc.. This is why I choose to answer the "urgent" messages as they come in, but catch up on the general emails every other day or so.
If you have contacted me about a motor mount, then chances are I have replied. I am trying to spend a little more on each initial mount design so that I can then offer these mounts as bolt on parts and list them as items in the store - this does slow down the initial process. It can easily take a full day or more to get a single motor mount design worked out to my satisfaction - The price I charge vs. time I spend on these one off jobs is nowhere near remotely profitable or "worth it" by most people's standards, but I do it for the love of the sport - hopefully I come up with a few winner designs that spark demand and may earn me a few $ for my efforts. As I get each design worked out, I will offer them on the site for other folks. Many folks come to the forums, see what they want and are looking for the same item. By making them in short runs instead of one by one, I should be able to keep the prices extremely reasonable by minimizing the time I spend on each one (10 mounts doesn't take 10 times as long as 1 mount when not done individually - there is setup between each step), as well as make for speedy receipt when the mount is ordered.

Here is my .02 for what it is worth.

I think that if RC monster could put together some conversion kits with Mike's talent in creating the motor mounts/designing battery holders, there would be a ton of people willing to buy these high end brushless conversion kits. I would imagine that many like the idea of buying a prefabed kit only because they lack skill (like myself|) to make them. I say compete against the other internet provider of conversion kits, but do it with Mike's quality work.

Thanks Mike. Well, my first e-mail was in conjunction with your response to my Lehner 1940 order. You pointed out that I needed a 4mm shaft pinion instead of the 1/8" I ordered (thanks by the way). I responded and asked about the motor mount. Then I sent another e-mail separately about a week later. I didn't want to bug you, and figured you were just really busy. Your service has always been awesome, so I knew something was just not 100%. Either your schedule, or e-mails. Anyway, I see you are producing some mounts now so I guess it doen't matter, eh?
