-UBEC
-stock TX3 radio (i know, just don't...)
-Integy alum. bulks
-MIP CVD's
-RPM steering blocks
-RPM bulkhead braces
-Maximizer 7075 diffs, stock diff cases
-RC monster center CV's
-1/8 MBX shocks, and 1/8 buggy shocks (can't remember name)
-stock shock towers
-23mm hex's
-Wide Velocity w/Badlands tires
-also, RDLogic spike tires/rims
Parts to get:
-Gorillamaxx G3 chassis kit
-RPM A-arms
-GMaxx Single Speed
-Steel idler's
-fastlane's single speed alum. tranny case half
-new input shaft, output shaft, and 2nd gear
-Strobe slipper, 51T spur, 18T, and 16T pinions

If you sent Mike an email, he can sure get you the stock mount.
I personally wouldn't put my money on the integy bulks.

Integy bulks, i know they aren't 'that great', but i bought them last year on a spontaneous buy, they were SHINY.:005: :007:
BTW, I am considering the carbon fiber G3 version.

Is an aluminum diff case for the rear differential necessary?

The aluminum case helps keep the case from expanding under extreme power, which is what ruins diffs...

Well, I think i'll get the Integy alum. diff case for the rear then.
BTW, BrianG, do you think i should put shrink wrap around the Quark, heatsink combo? Or use a small CF part and tap the heat spreader on the heatsink, and use the flex from the CF to put pressure down?
I'll post a pic over in the heatsink thread...

I guess I'm not following. I take it that you don't want to use thermal epoxy?

Is it just for bashing? or a bit of racing as well.
If your going to race it or going to do a lot of stop start driving then I'd get a some smaller pinions as well.
I use 51/13, with a 7XL on 14 cells for racing and the Quark can't finish a 5 minute race. This setup is pretty fast for the track.
I've driven mine a few times on an oval with a 16t pinion, and it's pretty fast, had a lot more acceleration than I expected and could wheel stand at higher speeds than the 13t pinion, but I think constantly running it like that and with lots of stop/starting could get things pretty warm though. I couldn't image it with an 18t pinion.

Hi, If you haven't checked out my Quark heatsink MOD, then go check it out.
I am using a very large GPU (PC) heatsink, along with the internal adhesive mod. It should be able to run, and run, and run. While staying only warm, I am expecting.
I did order a 18T mod1, and a 15T Mod1, so a bit of difference, if I were to ever need it. (15T)
HERE is a link to the heatsink thread.

I have not ran my truck yet (if it WERE a truck yet :005: )
I just ordered all the rest of my parts such as FLM chassis, single speed (not from Mike :024: ), Strobe kit, 51T spur, 18T, 15T pinions, stock motor mount, and a few other things for tranny...
Originally I was going to run 6s2p A123, but that would just be 'SICK' :017:
So 5s2p is 'just right' for the 7XL i think. Yes, like Patrick said, it will be a little more powerful under load than on 4s LiPo (typical pack).
It should be pretty good setup anyways, especially with this heatsink I am going to use, I simply won't have to worry about heat issues, EVER! :028:
I am also thinking of some how making a piece of copper that goes over the top FET's and bottom FET's and attaches to the Quark case (one piece). So then the top set of FET's will get much better heat dissipation, furhter making it a monster esc.... that it should have been in the first place! :031:
Cheers!
