Well, if you get an inexpensive servo and burn it out, then have to get another; you've spent as much as it would have cost you if you just got a good one in the first place. For middle of the road, I've liked the JR Z650. Just a good servo. What I usually run for steering on larger vehicles (1/8 scale) are the JR Z9000s. I run an S in my buggy and a T in my truggy. Neither have ever let me down, but they are around $100 each.
