Congratulation SIR..

Now about your gearing (!!)

You are using the same gearing I use on my buggy , Jordan, gear the bad boy!..

I'm running 24t & 52 spur. No heat issues at all on 6 & 8s (try this setup sir)

I'm stocked for you Jordan, it looks great too…

Great job all the way around..

Have a great weekend Sr..

Shaun.

P.S.
The last time i sent my controller to MGM it took 15 weeks.. Just and FYI..

Wow, this discussion came alive while i was sleeping , I've decided to run the MMM, i got the gears today and am going to get grinding tomorrow to refit the CD with the bigger spurs, so hopefully not to long before she's up and running again. After all the testing Lutach did with his ESC's it wont hurt for me to be the guinea pig with the MMM/152x motors.

@Shaun: you said you're running 52/24, is that on your G3R? What is your final drive ratio? Going on your gearing, the spur/pinion ratio is 2.167. With my previous/explosive gearing (42/16) its 2.625, so really you could say im geared lower. But with the reduction in the e-maxx tranny im pretty sure yours would come out as the correct ratio. If i could get your final drive ratio from Brian's calc i could work out an equivalent gearing on my truck.

@Jerry and Shaun: it could well take 15 weeks, but im just going off what Martin Dvorsky replied to me in his e-mail, he said once he gets it it should take a day or two to get repaired as it was an easy fix, hard to believe i know, but at least i'm trying to stay optimistic

thanks guys

Maybe??? - 11.30.2008, 07:56 AM

Just maybe MGM is trying to get a little better in dealing with its Anerican and Ausi customers in order to improve customer relations. You have to admit from all of the info posted up on here that ten to 16 weeks is a bit rediculous??? We to hope that yours comes back quicker Jordan.

lol thanks Jerry, Im really impressed with their customer service so far after all the bad press ive heard on here. I e-mailed Martin and got a response within three hours thats from the other side of the world. Hopefully the repairs go as smoothly as my conversations via e-mail with him.

Ok..
Your running the new V3 MMM right (??)

And your using what 6 or 8 s ??? (don’t even attempt) 10s Jordan unless your doing Brian G mod and then some..

As for my final drive ratio (It’s late I'm going to bed) I’ll get back to you tomorrow on that. It’s truggy diffs, single speed trans (Traxxas gears) on 6 -8s with a Neu 1515 3D S (polished) don’t forget that.. LOL.LOL.. and I can run the lipo’s down and still have no heat issues with 24 / 52… I can send you the gears if you want to try them out ?? Let me know it’s no big deal..

Yes stay optimistic.. Life is always better there..

P.S.
Are you 100% yet ???

Nothing!.. Hahahahaaa..

Yep, i just got a MMM V3 last week. Im running 5s, same as in the vid, im not THAT crazy . My MGM is limited upto 6s anyway. No worries on the ratio, ill work it out now, just didn't know which diffs you were running (RCM buggy or truggy ) Gotta remember the gmaxx single speed ratio is 1.7777, but with the CD its 1:1, i've also got buggy ratio diffs, so the spur/pinion will be kinda weird. No need for the gears, i don't think they'd fit between the frame rails, ive got a 48/10 combo to try out. I'll crunch some numbers right now, but i think theres something wrong with Brians calc, theres a Neu 1515/3D, but no Neu 1515/3D (polished) option .

The necks real good now, im back to running, riding, gyming again. I just got cleared to get back into all this stuff a week ago, also back at work which is good, i need more money for RC Unfortunately i cant get back into a race car for another 3 months, need to wait for the muscles/nerves to regenerate, (they take alot longer than bone.) So hopefully by March everything is all good.

have a good sleep

EDIT: thanks to BrianG's calc, heres what i got...

Shauns final drive ratio: 16.04537:1

My 42/16 final drive ratio: 8.68269:1

My 48/10 final drive ratio: 15.87692:1

My 46/12 final drive ratio: 12.67949:1

Now i know why my MGM burnt...

Jordan, your tires are spinning and a lot of weight is toward the front= no wheelies. You need to run on street and lock your CD and wheelie central...
