Good thread. I sold my erevo, have the 3905 for bashing (keeping it stock so as other people can drive it too), and the mamba pede, although I am getting bored of it.

Have been getting into helis, but trying to think of what I really want for a land vehicle. Been contemplating 1/8th buggies/truggies myself.

Anyway, not to hijack your thread gee, so back to you as a watch/read and dream.......

It good to hear their others out there looking too. I've started looking into the truggies also. There are a lot of them out there. Some cheap and some NOT. If they do handle better the the revo I think it will be the way I'm gonna go. Have fun will all my RC's but can't go as fast safely as in the revo. Seems like that's what come next in the brushless world more lipos and more speed.

The CTR is a 1/8th and the CTR .5 is the 1/12? Right?

Yep. CRT is the big brother. And they handle on a whole different level...

So, is it the XT8, X1 CRT, or 8IGHT-T.........

All run about in the same price range so that isn't a factor for me. The real thing is performance and durability.

I think right now I am leaning toward the 8IGHT-T.......

I've found that the XT8 is, in a word - finicky - on the track. There are tons of adjustment options, probably too many for someone who isn't into tinkering and adjusting.

I've noticed my CRT to be extremely tough. I ran it into a basketball pole today, the only carnage was I broke my front buggy bumper into pieces. It was 45* out though, and I hit it at about 15-20MPH.

1/8 scale is awesome no matter what, IMO. I like the styling of the 8IGHT-T, but have never liked the Losi design, function, or hardware selection. I'll always be an AE fan. I can't wait for the RC8T. I think with some work you could make your own out of TTR ST-1 parts. I might have to do that some day...

I just finished an E jato. I'm looking at 1/8 on road car to do soon.
