i have to start trimming the weight before I add anything else =\
Nice idea but I would leave the roll bar out, a decent shell will do the job. ;)

That's better. Loose the heatsinks on the lipoly's (still)

The heatsinks are not needed, i like the design but a longer topplate to hold the camshaft servo safer is a must if you ask me.

and it also adds a huge amount of strength as well.

i wanted to try my own design on the top deck.. and got went a little overboard..

alot of the cutout angles are too small for a 1mm bit to cut out =\
oh well, was fun..

and here's a wireframe for fun as well..

Wow, nice job.

I would get rid of the heatsink. Not really needed on Lipos. Just another place were dirt can collect up.

Other than that, best version so far.

someone gimme a design to use then?

the reason it's still in "heatsink" mode, is because I wanted to lose alot of the weight.. I'll work on it when I get home from bowling tonight..

On the edge columns of the "heatsinks", make it a solid bar all the way down. This will increase the strength, but won't add much weight.

SH Z-Car, Custom Crawler, 8s Savage, 12s XTM XLB 1/7 buggy, 4wd 4-link rear/IFS Pro4 truck, Custom Hyper 10 Short Course, Belt-Drive Mammoth ST 1/8 truggy, 4s 17.5 MM Pro HPI Blitz

I really don't understand why you don't make your topdeck longer? it could hold the steering stuff and it would make the car stronger.

the "steering deck" is a different height.. the center top deck, and the steering "deck" will be connected w/ the center brace that runs the length of the chassis..
