Here is my last build. Running an HV110 , Magura 5k throttle, 12s 10ah hobby city lipos, and some larger hub motor.

About 25mph, good wheelies, and handles great. I get about 18 miles of full throttle thrashing on a charge, enough to go to town and back and have 20% left.

Pack fits in the frame right above the cranks. Next project is to weld up a battery box and some mount tabs on the frame.

Hey johnrob, nice build man. I have been doing some research on parts and equipment for an electric bike, as well as an electric motorcycle.

If I can get that 12x A123 cell deal for a somewhat bulk order, then it will be golden! 58cents / Wh for $65 for 12 cells.

If I go ahead on the electric motorcycle, I plan to use somwhere between 25hp and up to even 70hp. I still need to do more research on how much hp it compares to gasoline for bikes. In cars, it's about 2:1 ratio, of electric:gasoline performance per hp, like you need 1/2 as much hp to have the same acceleration as gasoline, but not topspeed.

Keep it up.

Man that is a sweet build. What kind of hub motor is that? I was thinking about getting the new 600 watt BMC hub motor. Can a bmc motor be hooked up to an hv 110 ?

It uses a china made Ebike controller and throttle. Last night I realized that the throttle grip sucks and it was making my hand hurt!
Can you show us a video of that?

I think I may rebuild a micro bike like that, something to ride around at competitions. Maybe a three wheeler on 24v so I can have my battery chargers and everything attached. Like a mobile shop seat

THIS is what i want!
http://www.stealthelectricbikes.com....th_bomber.html

only 125 pounds, it could replace my pitbike, can anyone find out how much they cost or give me a breakdown on what it would run me to put one together on the same level of power and range? Ive watched vid of a bunch of bikes but those stealth bikes REALLY changed my mind on these Ebikes.

I've sent an email asking the obvious questions, including price. I'll post the response when it arrives

That's bloody excellent mate. I love it. If you can get it to mono, I think your doing very well. You must use your body too though I assume?
I used the 5 inch Hobbywing ducted fans with KB45's & 2 Sentenials. I needed alot of road to move to top speed. Alot of clowns in cars attempting to chase me too at top speed. I was nearly charged, but I knew the law, lol.

Take care my friend on your electric bike,
Peter

ES is back up fellas. Server issues.

The bike should wheelie under power just fine. The wheelbase is short enough and I will have about 5 horse on tap. Probably won't see me popping wheelies though, I need back brakes first.

The stealth bike is pretty cool, but they are very pricey. You need an 18 fet Infineon controller and a Xlyte 5305 on 72v to have a setup similar, about $800 before batteries. Divorced drivelines like mine are MUCH lighter for the power (25lb vs 8lb), about the same price and power, and are much easier to service.
