That's it. It'll put out a great deal more power than a 4600 but if you already bought a new motor I wouldn't worry about it.

You got a good deal. I paid ~$210 for my MM 5700 combo from Tower. It ended up being less than that because of the discount code but I bought a ton of other stuff.

Maybe you did, but that Medusa will outlast and outperform the CC cm-36 series motors. Not ripping on CC, they're a great company with great products. The Medusa is far more efficient and runs ALOT cooler.

how will it out last if it has "cooling holes" that dirt can get in?

I got my MM so cheap because I got a free "fried" one that I sent in.

So you sent in a fried one you got for free from somebody and CC replaced it with a new one and now you're complaining that you have to pay for the broken motor?

I have been useing a very hi tech solution to keep the dirt out of my Medusa motor all summer. I works very well & keeps the inside of the motor very clean. It's called scotch tape over the holes.

Can't the dirt still work it's way in there? I'm using an RC-M heatsink clamp (probably use some aluminum foil between the motor and transmission) and a trimmed washer on mine. I E-Mailed Medusa and they suggested covering the holes when using it offroad.

You definitely get what you paid for, Neus are certainly worth the money. I haven't gotten my Medusa running (MM had some issues with it we couldn't work out over E-Mails so I sent it back to CC) but I have looked it over thoroughly and the initial quality is impressive.

It's funny you are dropping your Jaw at a $115 Medusa.... Many of us in here run, or have, NEU 1515s at $250 a crack.
Not to get into a peein contest, but I have a Tekno NEU 1515 1.5D, just got my Tekno NEU 1515 1Y, and I have a Medusa 36-60-2000 V2. I can pretty much bank on that I won't have motor problems. It's one of those things that in many cases, you get what you pay for.

Hobbies are never cheap and if you are going to play in BL which raises the bar for "ease of use" you gotta have extras of dang near everything if you want to run, break, fix, and run. otherwise it is Break, order, wait....... fix, run.. maybe a week later.

Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it!
