Sorry to wake up a week old thread, but I'm thinking of getting one of these ESCs too, and want to know if I can expect the performance of this ESC to be on par with a Sidewinder, or slightly better?

E-Maxx - Feigao 7XL MM 4S
AX10 RTR - Stock :D
Micro-T - Losi LiPo upgrade
Mini LST2 - Discarded. Useless POS.

i'm thinking of putting up 2 ez-run in my twin brushless I want to do!
any feedback from others would be helpfull!


Working on:
Twin CF GorillaMaxx (8S motors on 2x2slipo)
2WD AL. GorillaMaxx (7lbs with batteries)

This esc is MUCH better than a sidewinder. After a 20min run on 4s lipo it's only about 110 F.

Have you added an external BEC for running on 4S? and changed the fan too? What kind of motor are you using with it?

The motor is a hobbycity 9xl and yes i am using a bec. I didn,t actully change the fan I just made a Y connector and ran it to the battery slot in the reciver.

That's very interesting. How good are the hobbycity motors compared to feigaos? I get pretty good discounted prices with them and those motors are like 26 bucks, want to know if they're at least up to par with a feigao.

Im not a fan of the HC motors, but they are certainly cheap enough to experiment with...

The motor runs great I have no experance with feigaos though.

For $30 bucks they run pretty good though.
