Are you sure? There are selling fees that you have to pay at the end of each month, for all the stuff you sold during the month (cumulative), but I dont believe there are any buying fees/ buyers premium like in a real life auction...

Not being willing to use ebay severly limits your options..

Huh ????

The EBAY fees and charges are for selling only, When you purhase you pay only for the item and the shipping for said item ONLY.

A 8.00 servo is junk regardless who makes it. Go cut some more lawns and save your pennys and buy yourself a qaulity servo in the $75.00 range. You and your Revo will be happier in the long run.

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

You gotta remember that if they didn't get money from the sellers, they wouldn't exist. They have to pay for the servers, salaries of employees, etc., somehow.

InsaneRC there's a reason why those servos you linked us to are $20 or less. Because they have low-tolerance components, poor quality control, and zero service and support. Not a good investment of your money.

I'm agreeing with the others, if you want to go single servo in a Revo you are going to be spending at least $50-70, and more if you want something that's the best newest model.

I learned very early in this hobby that buying the cheapest stuff will only become frustrating and cost you more in the long-run. It just breaks, and then you end up buying the better gear anyway. Save yourself the headache and buy a quality servo right from the start.

I use hxt12kg servos which are the same as the one you linked to iirc. They work. That's all I have to say. They work and I use them. Kinda heavy, loud, and power hungry, but they work.

How about one of these? Would one of these do the job?

http://www.hyperion-world.com/produc...ct/HP-DS20-FMD

I just got one last week and I think it is a really good servo and cheap ($AU52).

A fair bit stronger and quicker than an MG995, well it was compared to my rebadged MG995 I had.

Also a lot more accurate, and barely under/over shoots, really good centering.

Although a lot more than $8, but in after a while, you will probably wish you got something better.
