I run a Micro 18120, not the 9920.

You should be able to program it by the remote. If you plug it up and wait for the main beep the go foward for a beep then back to neutrel for the final beep.

Is it possible to have like the braking part burned up? The controller runs fine otherwise, it just doesn't have brakes.

And like I said, I've tried reprogramming it multiple time and still the same, no brakes.

well it is possible to have it not in car mode. You need the cable to change that part. I tried one and it didn't have brakes.

Its in a For/Rev mode. No brakes, however, the truck must be completely stopped before it reverse.

If I can get this Mech. brake cleared up, I'll try it.

Consider a trade for a Gen 2 aluminum Ultramaxxed second gear?

Have you run this yet, tested it yet? If so, how well do it stop the truck?

I'm not interested in ultramaxx as for there is a $99 version coming out shortly that comes with all gears (not just second speed gear). Also, the usage of a second speed gear with a steel idler will ruin the second speed gear, this is why UM used an alloy instead of steel (when they had their first generation set that was to be used with steel idler, they tried to compensate with a teflon hardcoat, but it didn't work, hence gen II).

This braking system works very well. I couldn't ask for anything more. Testing it out yesterday if worked like a charm. However, I am running duel carbon fiber disc brake (what is included is a single fiberglass disc brake, but still works fantastic).

In simple terms, this mod will make your emaxx stop like a tmaxx, which is good.
