U can use jammin conversion kit or rcm conversion kit. I am using both. It's a great car!

Just curious if you or anyone knows the approx cycle life of the current X2 truggy? Any expectation of it being replaced in the next couple years?

I'am doing a custom project, and thinking of using some X2 parts, but would hate to see it discountinued next yr or something. OTOH X1 parts are still easy to find, so not too much of a worry.


Any idea of a Hobao replacement of the Hyper St? Saw the buggies and smaller scale trucks, but haven't seen much on a new 1/8th truggy (not that I'm much in the news)

The NEXX8 just came out, which uses a ton of Jammin parts. And the Jammin buggy and truggy share a ton of parts. I wouldn't worry about a shortage of parts any time soon.

When I search for Jammin buggy parts on Ebay it seems to me like there are way more for the X2 truggy. Lots of chop shops selling the truggy.

Yeah I saw that Nexx8, but wondering more about a truggy version tho, but I'd imagine one is not far behind.

I was not all that impressed by it tho, seems like a step down from some of the RCM conversions and nothing terribly innovating jumps out. Mike's motor mount is way nicer. Steering hubs look like cast alu. IDK much about it, perhaps its quite good, but seems more a down-market filler sort of car.

The x2 is no longer in production. Only difference between that and the x1 was longer chassis, spiral cut diff gears and smaller spur.

Yeah I wasn't too impressed by the NEXX8 either. But I think they are trying to have another car in the entry level 1/8 e-buggy category, so you kind of expect it to have e-clip hingepins, and other stuff like that to keep costs down. I think buying a used X2 and refurbishing it and converting it will give you a much better vehicle, but for people entering 1/8 electric the NEXX8 is a lot easier to deal with.

Either way, the NEXX8 should ensure those of us with Jammin vehicles have plenty of parts available.

Yeah, that was my take on it too. A truggy version on an LX1 or something.
I'm just disappointed as they killed the low budget hyper st, but seemingly replaced it with something of lesser quality. Ie, got my hyper pro kit for $360 or so, and had captured pins, spider diff, etc.

I know there have been many evolutions of the hyper buggy, and was hoping for a truggy version of the H9e buggy or so. Maybe something is coming out, I just have no idea, and haven't seen anything in the few places I looked.

Its too bad if they are killing the X2 also. Nice price @ $360 when alot of the other brands are over $500.

I still have my HST, and parts are harder to find as cheap as they used to be when the ebay chopshops were running, otoh I've almost never broken anything, and got a whole barely used roller for $100 as spares, as well as the other bags of spares I have. I just bash w/ it, so I plan to keep it for quite a while.

U guys shld try the nexx 8 the handling is alot better than x2e. Just need afew upgrades here n there that's all.

The good news about jammin is they hv part support for their cars for very long period of time so don't worry.
