So, no input from CC? Patrick, Joe, Thomas?

After thinking about it a bit more, I really don't think it will be easy to determine actual charge amount. Motor inductance is an important factor, as well as magnetic strength, slotted vs slotless, etc - and these are not available specs. I was just hoping there was some "magic" approximate calculation. So, I think the best that can be done is to simply determine how much kinetic energy is "stored" in a moving vehicle of X weight, stopping in Y seconds. Not much use I think.

Unfortunately, it would be tough to come up with a "magic" approximate. The problem is that the braking force is very dependent on the traction -- some tire slip takes a lot of the energy away from the regen.

If the tires DON'T slip at all, the regen is around 80-85% efficient.

Thanx!

Patrick

Thanks for the answer Patrick. I kinda figured there would be too many variables, but one can hope...
