Well I have no problems with the mgt. If I do break something the parts are cheaper than the gmaxx. The chassis is a solid one piece construction from front to back. The bumpers are well built. I accually like the way my mgt handles over the savage. I lowered the cog on it and it sticks to the ground good. If i break some stuff up on it I let you know. It is holding very well. But so is the savage. I found the mgt easier to convert than the savage. The mgt has a bulkless type design from the factory. the bottom arms are attached to the diff housing. The maxx knuckles can fit the mgt as well.
I think if you go with either you be happy. Just trying to help out and give you all the points of good and bad.

thanks coolhand. the mgt sounds good, but my lhs doesn't stock many parts for it. when i bought the mgt slipper spring for my strobe, they had to order it. they stock all the savage parts. that might be the deciding factor. thanks for all the good input. it would be nice to convert the mgt, as nobody has one around my area. it would surely be unique.

Savage SS with FLM 1.6" extended lcg plates, FLM center skid, FLM servo plate, Nova shock towers, 1/8 buggy rear shocks, Hot Bodies "Mega Travel" CVD's, Feigao 9xl, and Warrior 9920. I made a custom motor mount out of 1/4" alum., and use the stock nitro sliding motor mount screw holes, and have yet to break this thing. Just today I stripped the first spur on it, launched it off a big jump and landed off to the side of the landing on flat ground. Thing's built like a tank, and has become even more fun when I made the bump from a 9L to a 9xl.
