I'm running 4s cells in my pede and haven't broken the stock yokes or sliders yet, so it's not an absolutely necessary upgrade.

The FLM extended front arms will make the front wider than the rear so the rears a-arms will even the truck out. It also makes the truck fell super planted when running front rustler/stampede wheels all around (helps alot when going for the 60mph high speed runs). I'm currently running some narrower Jato wheels all around (love the way they look) and its still wider than a normal rustler.

So what motor would be recommended for 5S lipo?

You can't have both, so which is more important? I guess you could run a 380c-13t, but the motor will be spinning at over 50,000 rpm, so it's not ideal and would get rather hot. Otherwise, if you want 5s, then I again suggest a low kv Lehner Basic motor.

It doesn't have to be something Mike has in stock. I could always have him order one for me. I believe the S motors come in a full line of C versions.

Oh, ok, then order something like a 14t. How long does a special order like that take?

I suggested the 14t without looking at the specs. After looking at the Feigao datasheet, it seems that a 15t or 16t would be best for 5s. That would be a unique setup. Order one and let us know how it does!

I guess it depends. I'm not really sure.

I'm thinking a 14L on 5S lipo. Would the weight/torque be to much for it?

Do you mean a 380c-14L? I don't think it would have too much torque or weight.

That'd be too much... I ran an 8L on 12 cells way back when in my Rustler, and sure, it could wheelie and go fast, but it wheelied excessively. Unless you plan on getting the tranny upgrades (steel diff and aluminum case) and extending the wheelbase to take the extra power, stick with 540s motors or 380C L motors.

The 540 16s or 17s would both be good motor choices, or the 380/380C 14L.

Which would you choose? I think the 14L would have plenty of torque, no? And I like the fact that it has the built in heatsink... Hard to deside...
