Is it the 120amp warrior you're getting? I think the warriors are great, well the 9920 is so i assume the 120 is aswell. My micro sucked big time though(so did Leroy's),still haven't had it repaired 'cause i just don't want it so i'm not going to spend more on it.
MGM and Schulze for me all the way.

I believe he followed the instructions and pulled the red wire from the servo plug on the end, and he was running a on/off switch on his UBEC, along with the on/off switch with the quark. I can understend how he is upset....he spent about a 1hr or so getting it to program right...then he runs it and it starts this on/off stuff after only 2 min. (thermaling)... he can drop 2 more teeth, but I don't think that will solve anything for him......and if he goes up then it more than likely will overheat more. I'm curious how you guys are running the quarks in the revo's......is it because they are a lighter vehicle. or what......I feel for ya man...

I've had 2 micro's....one 1895 from back in 2001...had it for 4 1/2 years...ran realiable as heck...no issues ever.....then poof....sent 123 amps on 12 cells thru the controller....sent it to BK..they replaced it with a 2095...and that's what I'm running now. I've had it for a year now and have had no issues to date also. And I've ran 16 cells on it with ease also....So since he's going to a 12020 he should be fine...I've also have the program plug and can help him tweek the controller..

Yes, i am using the ubec. Pulled the red wire too. I have a 9920, and i know many have had probs with them as well. But mine runs great! I have never had an issue unless I over geared it, say like putting a 20T pinion on there, But with the 18T, my controller doesn't get hot, motor runs a tad warm but that's it, runs great! And i have beat the piss out of it!

I ran that motor on a 7020 neweuser. It made the 7020 hot with that gearing on a 13 lb emaxx. I was running rd logic spikes to with ue diffs. Only ran 12 to 14 cells. If didn't run it to hard I could play until the batteries was dead. Make sure your screws are not to long.
Peace!

Are you talking about the 10xl? Or the 1930/10t? I never ran the 1930 on the 9920. But i will be running the 1930 on the 12020, IMO, i think that'll be a good set up. with a 16T, I should be close to 40,000 RPM's on the 1930.

I realized that now! LOL, I'm a slow reader! check your PM CHC!
Gustav - yes the 12020 120 amp....shouldn't be much different than the 9920.

MGM and Schulze for me all the way.

Are the newer MGM's any good? Out of all the 1/8 scale ESC's that I've ever had the MGM cube design ran the coolest. It just had rough software, but by far has been the coolest running ESC. I'm finding that out after buying other controllers.

When they come back in stock these are the latest software version. They've been sent away for the update which should solve the slight problem they have with the throttle input while coasting, basically if you're coasting and you blip the throttle lightly they brake momentarily.Basically it tries to bring to motor down to the level of the low throttle imput.
If the update has solved this then they'll be a very smooth esc and in my opinion the best available.Mine is otherwise very smooth(with the drag brake off and the freewheel on)They are a very good quality unit, and mine has been robust.i had it to 200F(my fault-no ventilation and 3000 watts)and it shrugged it off.It reduced the rpm as it should and then after letting it cool it was good to go.
They have suffered from software niggles but these are getting/have been solved and you can send them in for free updates. The LVC is the best since it's manually set for cell count so you can trust it, and can be set to slow reduce rpm or hard cut off.
I think all things considered they're the best choice. The schulzes are butter smooth, incredibly so with a 19 series, but have no LVC(they have but it's too low) and customer service is non existant by all accounts. And the price.
I'm going to have my 16024 updated and i'll probably buy a second one aswell.
I'd jump on the updated ones when they come back in if you're after a new esc.

My Quark 125B runs fine.
If I run 18 cells with 10XL on my lightning (5.2KG rtr), it doesnt even heat up in the slightest.
Might be a problem with it.

That's a good thought,it would be worth having it checked out to see if it has a problem before you give up on it.
I don't think there's any esc that could run cool with the weather over here this week.100F!,thank God for aircon.

I was wondering if it is running on all the fets.
Don't worry gustav it is 100f here as well. the humidity is sucking to. 110 heat index.
I haven't got a chance to test mine out in the heat. On 90 degree day it got 120. I think it should get 130 on 100 day.
Peace!

That's very cool considering the ambient temperature, what motor/batteries/truck is that with? Is it a really low amp setup?

Man, it must be 100f everywhere cause it's a least that hot here too! I'll pretty much only run my cars first thing in the morning or nothing. Even if the cars can stand it I can't!
