As for the rear brace thing, I will get some pics of mine tonight or tomorrow for any interested. Basicly what I did was used some 1/4" thick plastic to make some plugs that fit tight into the holes in the endbell. The plugs are bolted to a brace or rear motor mount.
So it's almost like having a brace bolted the rear of the motor as far as vertical movement. It's just that it's not really "attatched" to the motor like normal... the brace it just attatched to the plugs which are shoved into the motor holes.
It actually is working very well. I have these on both the truggy and my buggy that has the motor up in the air over the center diff.

What diameters are the holes in the back of the motor? That sounds like it could be a do-able solution for me. Just asking cuz if anyone knows the diameter I could make this bracket up at work this afternoon and install it this weekend. I just don't have access to my motor till toninght
