Eh...I'm not the kind of person to spend 25 bucks on a temp gun...

Ok...good to know MM...I did try getting the motor wet and it didn't sizzle or anything, so its below 200. I guess its ok.

oohhh.... Be carfull w/ that. Water on the motor is OK.... But I dont like water any where neer my electronics. Just freaks me out. Seems like water has been involved wioth most of my electronics failures.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

I bet hes watching out, i dont think anyone would be dumb enough to miss the motor and put it on the esc ; LOL! Yea but it isnt the best idea, if it aint sizzlin' than its alright.

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

Water boils at 212 deg. F, so with the water method you have about 12 deg. margin of error.

$25 is cheaper than the motor would cost to replace.
Did you try to drop another tooth on pinion?

Peace!

By water drop, I wet my finger, and touched the motor can. I did not do the pinion. I will try that - thanks.

Maybe one of these days I'll just run it, bring it in real quick and touch my temp probe to it and figure that it cooled about 10-15 degrees during the time it took me to do it.
