You guys are right. I haven't had any issues before with this pack for four previous cycles but I'm thinking it has to do with the way the MM is handling power when it is freshly peaked. What settings are you running on the MM with your 5S packs? here are mine:

Brake/Reverse Type = Proportional w/o Reverse
Brake Amount = Custom 0
Reverse Throttle a = 50% (*)
Punch Control = 0%, Disabled (*)
Drag Brake = 0%, Disabled (*)
Start Power = Medium
Motor timing = Normal (*)
Cutoff Voltage = Custom 15.2
Motor type = Brushless (*)

Just want to see if there are any differences - especially with regard to the Start Power and Punch COntrol settings. Thanks for the input.

Riceman, please try the lowest motortiming, more startup power and maybe a bit of punch controll (won't hurt to tame those 5S down a bit)

Punch controll definitely helps to reduce voltage drop under acceleration.

Don't know if all this has something to do with your particular problem, but worth a try.

I'm running lowest timing and lowest start power
punch control at 30 or 50%
reverse at 50 %
no drag brake
My cut-off is 15v (5s)

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

I am using Med motor timing, med. startup power, and 15.5v cutoff on 5s and have no issues. All settings identical to yours except had the cutoff at 15.5v.

Have you tried a cell balancer to make sure the cells are healthy?

Thanks for the feedback folks. I'll give some different settings a go and report back here.

Not sure what you mean by one cell being off? The pack is balanced and I live in Southern California. It did dip down to a chilly 53F:026: But I experience the same problems inside my garage at about 65F. I still haven't had a chance to alter any of the MM settings. Perhaps this weekend.

You shouldn't have much problem at 53 f.

I just ran mine at 40 degrees. The packs actually like to be run in cold, but you lose a ton of power.

I dont think the problem is voltage going to low, I think the voltage is too high. At 20.8v mine doesnt like to act right, but once it drops down to around 20.3 it is flawless.
