i actually had to purchase 2 auctions to get everything that i wanted. so there are other parts that i didn't mention in this post. i'm going to setup the second truck with misc parts and a few batteries and sell that to another buddy of mine that's getting into this as well. my net cost for everything will be just over $400 for everything inc shipping costs.
Thanks for the compliment on the good info i would recommond going with flm(fast lane machine) bulks and towers i would especially recommend the combo bulks with the maximizer diff cups and revo 3.3 sliders this is a lot cheaper than the cvd and 1/8 scale diff route and it should hold up fine as far as brushless i recommend the mamba maxx with a 8Xl feiago motor again it is cheap but the best for the money. Dont get me wrong i am not trying to sound cheap with you on the money saving stuff i just know that sometimes it can get pretty over whelming on how much you can spend when it is all done and you usually go over budget anyway. As for waiting for brushless that might be a good idea i had a stock maxx for quite some time and if you drive it off road it can be very fun in stock form. like serum said you should probaly wait untill it breaks untill you get the stuff. Also for batterys as they are the heart of a Brushless motor combo lipo is good but there is much reading and learining to do before you jump into them. My suggestion would be to read up on the brushless sticky here and read the forums. I also recommend driving with your setup first and see what you like and dont like and then go from there but most important you have to decide about what you want to do with the car and how much you want to spend before you make any huge purchases. hope i helped here is my ride i am over a grand into this thing and it is still on the shelf but when it is done it willl rock. :027:
