Just let them cool and charge them up.

Thank's for answering my ?'s. 4S lipo seems to have as much if not more power & punch than the 14 IB 3800 cells i was running LOL :005: .

I stopped waiting for the balancer to stop blinking before i charge the packs; just charge them with the blinking lights, the balancing process goes faster when charging. (or you don't need to wait for it)

LMAO :005:

I'm making something very similar to what the mbx 4 had for a fan mount. I have exactly what i want made from aluminum but was going for the BLING BLING factor of CF LOL :005: .

It it a mount the looks like this with the fan mounted on the horizontal part & the vertical part is only about a 1/2 inch or so wide so i can mount it to the mount i made to connect it to my ESC mount. . The fan mount will screw to the reverse mount i made. I hope this makes sinice to you ?.

I already made another one of those in aluminum. I was thinking abount making one out of CF.

i just talked to jack at HYPERION & he said there is no added benifit of balanacing my packs everytime (per say ). He also said i could make up a cable that goes from the charger straight to the battery, & charge them that way & balance every 4 or 5 charges. My ? is if i charge them without the balancer is it safe ?. He also said the battery would charge faster not being connected to the balancer. I dont think im comfortable doing that. Any thoughts ?.

You are probably ok with not balancing everytime, but why not do it? It's not going to hurt anything and you can be sure that your pack will always be balanced. I balance while charging all the time. Any decrease in charge time by not using a balancer is negligible. Technically, since the bal does discharge at a low rate, charge time does increase, but is so small that it really is not worth mentioning IMO.

I agree with you & i feel safer using the balancer evertime.

I dont balance every time. I have more chargers than balancers so I just balance every couple charges or so. I rarely find anything that take more than few minutes to charge with the exception of some of my older 10C packs that get pushed very hard and tend to go out of balance more. But even they arent that bad.

Well, if you don't have enough balancers, that's another thing. I only have two chargers, so I have two balancers. My Hyperion charger acts funny though no matter what lipo battery I use. Once the voltage gets to ~4.1v/cell, the charger errors out ("output voltage too high"). The only way I can get it to not do that is to lower the charge current to about 3.6A. Weird. So, I use that for all my NiMH and the Xtrema for the lipos.
