Yeah, for 300 bucks, its one heck of a fast/torque monster

How power hungry is it? What kind of run time do you get? And whats the heat on the speedo, and motors?

He can't be far off, unless the motor kv is way off spec, or the lipo voltage is really sagging under load. Check out the speed calc:

Differential Ratio: 2.8461538461538462
Transmission Ratio: 1.83
Spur Tooth Count: 65
Pinion Tooth Count: 22
Total Voltage: 11.1
Motor KV: 3500
Tire Diameter (inches): 7
Total Motor Speed: 38850 RPM
Vehicle Speed: 52.57 MPH

You have to factor wind resistance, but I did not account for tire ballooning, so he is most likely near 50 if not more. I find brian's speed calc to be quite accurate and that the tire expansion usually takes care of wind resistance, at least up to 70mph or so (I just leave the ballooninng section black). I always gear according to the speed calc and then check with my radar gun. Never more than 2-3mph off. My tamiya was actually almost dead on, but it has foam tires and a slippery body.

I was guessing about 40-45 myself...but the truck seemed to have quite a bit in the torque department...lifted those front wheels quite well...

Even my G2R with a 1940/7 on 4S and low gearing can't even pick the front tires up that fast. It more or less has to "pull them up." On the other hand, the COG and wheelbase is both lower and longer, respectively, than a new E...but even so the torque is impressive.

What I'm waiting for is someone to run two KB45's lol...

Ok, I thought that you were using a 65t sput, not a 56!!!

Changed up the speed calc and here it is:

Differential Ratio: 2.8461538461538462
Transmission Ratio: 1.83
Spur Tooth Count: 56
Pinion Tooth Count: 22
Total Voltage: 11.1
Motor KV: 3500
Tire Diameter (inches): 7
Total Motor Speed: 38850 RPM
Vehicle Speed: 61.02 MPH

I did not use a value for tire expansion, so you must have some to raise the top speed a few mph. I am quite impressesd, what are you using to determine speed, a chase vehicle or radar? I have used both, but find it difficult for the chase vehicle to keep up! I bought a bushnell radar gun and it is much easier to use.

What I did was My friend drove me in his ford edge and I drove the Emaxx he had to go about 63mph to keep up with the emaxx. I could only do 64mph for a short time very hard to control I need to adjust the shocks

i used to have some of the 7.7 fireballs tires. i used them on my t maxx. it made me roll too easy, but wheelies where easier to pull off i think just from them being too big for the truck.
