Mid-late February it says, so I would go ahead and pre-order one. Remember you will need 5mm bore 32p pinions now too.

Will a stock revo slipper clutch fit on an original e-maxx tranny? What needs to be done? Are there mod 1 gears available for that set up and can I get mod 1 pinions with a 5mm bore? Or just use the stock revo gears 0.8mod if there are 5mm bore pinions available in that. I wanna order everything at once and I'm waiting to find this stuff out b4 pre ordering my new 5mm rotor and endbell from novak

I don't know about the clutch/emaxx stuff but you can get Mod-1 pinions from towerhobbies (century motor gear) do a search. And rc-monster sells some too. Tower sells down to a 9t mod-1 5mm pinion.

You can also get the 5mm to 3mm reducer. Use smaller motor shaft with 5mm pinions.

If the input shaft of a revo/T-maxx tranny can be swapped with the one from a e-maxx I can use the good slipper from a revo, I have both and did a little disassemblie to find out that the revo input shaft isn't a hex shaft it is round and uses a pin to drive the slipper. I have an extra T-maxx tranny so I might try the transplant if I don't hear otherwise

Mod1 = metric 1.0
32pitch = MOD 0.8/metric 0.8

The Revo input shaft can be trimmed down slightly and used with the GorillaMaxx singlespeed conversion for the emaxx tranny, but I dont know how the t-maxx input shaft will measure up if you tried it in the un-modified emaxx tranny- I'd say suck it and see....

May have figured out the snapped rotor shaft! I was playing around with the slipper when it happened, trying to set it so it wouldn't flip when I punched it! 3/4 turn out from locked was so loose the thing barely moved so I was tightening it up a little at a time. E-maxx slipper setup sucks! It was all or nothing and when it slipped there was a LOT of heat! 4600Kv motor on 14.4V = aprox 66,000RPM and the truck barely moving! Melted the spur to the bearing and slipper, enough to throw it off center, strip random spots and the jerking resulted in a broken shaft.

Solution - Pre ordered 5mm upgraded rotor and endbell and a pinion from Novak, purchased a Gmaxx single speed so I can run a revo slipper and Mod1 gearing!

Any input or comments appreciated!

My 5mm shaft is supposed to be on the way from Novak but I did some other shopping this weekend with my tax return. I can finally ditch the traxxas radio setup, I would have liked the DX3R but my lhs didn't have one in stock so I bought the DX2.0, I also bought a new E-Maxx and all I can say is the thing is awesome in the snow! Along with that I bought a losi mini slider with hopes of racing that in the stock class. Along with all this I have added a Gorilla single speed tranny and revo slipper with mod1 gears, hope this will all work good together!

OK! Finally got things to work and run my revo again! GMaxx single speed tranny, revo slipper clutch, MGT Mod1 spur 49t, Novak prototype Mod1 5mm bore 13t pinion. This is giving me a 23.75:1 total reduction. Motor and esc where barely warm. First run was with Venom 4200Mah 7 cell packs, they're toast! shrink melted right off the hump cell and one was smoking! The packs only have 5-6 runs on them and this is a conservative gearing setup. Throwing caution aside I immedietly grabbed my 4500Mah all-battery.com packs and threw them in! Absolutely NO PROBLEMS!!! Way more punch, more speed, and the batteries didn't get any hotter than in my stock E-maxx. I don't wanna bash anyone but I haven't been happy with these Venom packs since day 1! I recomend all-battery to anyone bashing or even racing with Ni-Mh. These packs are less than $30 each and pack a ton of power! I love my new set up and will be ordering some 7 cell packs from all battery as soon as I can!

Whenever I hear 'Venom' and 'Nimh', I think 'toast'.... glad the other packs are good though, no sense spending massive amounts of money on Nimh packs for just general bashing.

Thanks Neil, always good to get ur input! Wish someone had warned me b4 buying them! Have thought about going LiPo but that's a big investment, 2 packs at $100+ and a charger at about the same then the worries of fire and explosion. $300 and I can only charge 1 pack at a time or I could buy 10 7 cell packs that I can charge on the chargers I already have....Looking at it like that it's a pretty easy decision!

E-Revo is fast and POWERFUL, too much power right now! I'm snapping the output shafts on the tranny! Went through two of them now:-( What is everyone else doing? Can I run stock revo center shafts on a G2R chassis? I like how the screw goes all the way through the shaft on those.

If you mean the actual slider shafts (that come in two oieces that slot together), then yep, you can easily use those on the G2R. You will probably need two longer shafts, then trim them down as required until they fit.
