Some more track test to report. I ran the buggy medium hard this afternoon. Run time was probably 15 minutes with slight interruptions. The esc held up great. Would have done more test if the steering linkage bolt did not decide to go MIA.

Hopefully, this means the Monster is good.

Fantastic power. Cleared the new big triple easily.

Joe Ling

Ok. As mentioned in the other post under CC sub section, I'm pretty happy with this setup. Time for a new project !

Ok time for an update. I had a BEC failure on my third run. So had to shelf the buggy. Everything looked gloomy until last week when one of the members BrianG here pointed the way to modify the dead MMM to eliminate th BEC section completely & installing an external BEC to power even the esc.

Tried that & the buggy was brought back to running condition. Since then, i have had 3 runs in brutal conditions & the buggy & esc is still in tip top condition. I'm pretty happy about this.

Gonna work on tuning my BL X2 !

Soon to be nitro free except for race days.

Regards,
Joe Ling

Oh ya, I ditched the PBS & went back to the C hub. I like it so far. My friend shot a video of the buggy in action last week. I could have sworn I'm a much better driver than that :-) . I was making the double double in front of the stand & then double double further down & the big triple too.

I would have gone to the track yesterday too but the rain made a disturbing appearance .
