Do the Diffs and cases from the 3905 fit the standard Maxx bulks?

I don't have the FLM hybrids but I do have the VBS and GA bulks with 8 spyder gears. I think it's worth it. It all depends on how much you're willing to spend.

if i was building a race Maxx you pretty much need buggy gears. You could strenghten the 3905 diffs, Alum cases $30 each gh hobby (look like poo) flm 3905 diff cups $50 each. Pretty much bought FLM hybrid bulks with buggy gears there.

Ive been driving 3905 diffs with a vtwin on 2x 3s for 6 months, never had a diff issue. Ive been driving a 1.5d in a 3905 maxx but only a few runs, nothings broken.

it is worth the upgrade IMO to go with the FLM diff cases. Even if you have to wait abit longer for the maxx to be completed. even though it is not that powerful you will be surprised on what Brushless can do and eventually they might break and then you would have to upgrade then. Its more efficient to save up the money and get the good stuff then take a chance.

BTW i have the hybrids and love them. Plus they are like alu bulks and diff cases in one and make the chassis more rigid.

The new emaxx diffs seem to be alot stronger than the old ones. I pieced together a neew emaxx, bought the chassis, steering and diffs from sike as he was parting a few trucks.

I have run a hacker c50 14l on 5s and a plett maxx on 4s and have not had an issue yet with the diffs. I did not even shim them, just threw them in and started beating the snot out of the truck. Slipper settings will help the diffs. I like to be able to make the slipper slip a bit if I really force the truck to move on carpet while holding the spur still. That seems to be just the right setting for me...
