Crap, I can't do it. The handful of 32p gears I have won't fit in the small space of the T2's tranny. I was going to run a 66t spur and 15t pinon, but even that's humongous, and wouldn't work. I could try 48p, but I think it'd blow out instantly so screw that. If I can find another spur (preferably w/o buying one) I'll actually try driving this thing......that ought to be scary. :D

RC-Boyz sell some 60t RC10GT 32P spurs for $3 :)

With 48p you quite likely would rip the teeth off the spur gear after a few runs, and if you take it jumping it probably wouldn't last 5 mins.

Good luck with that,i had to rebuild this tranny for the second time in 3 days,it's so easy to work on though. It was my own stupid fault again,i actually really like the GenII tranny,i think it will be reliable with this motor.I made a mistake setting the slipper and the whole tranny got to about 250F in about a minute, melted the plastic tranny spacer, replaced it with a bearing this time.

All is well though, ran it this afternoon with the right amount of slip on tarmac and the slipper stayed cool. The diff seems solid too, even without slip,as long as it's kept tight. The diff melted the other day only because i ran the same setting i did with the novak,it needs to be much tighter with this motor as the slipper is tighter.(1 1/2 turns out instead of 3).

That could happen with any motor though,it's just a case of balancing the diff and slipper settings with the amount of power and traction,it's just the settings are more critical with more torque.I reckon i've got it sussed now though, touch wood:rolleyes: .

That'd be Losi's for ya :P :P

To be fair my slipper got pretty toasty last week, had it set for my 380 9s but put my 540 6s in there for a run, I don't think it ever stopped slipping.

How did i know you'd say that. lol.

Yeah,i'm gonna GPS it again tomorrow,i think that was still slipping a little all the way when it ran 42.7MPH.Just need to get used to the sounds,i wasn't used to the sound of the motor so i didn't realise how much it was still slipping.

I think there could be a few more MPH in it over the same distance on that gearing. It's within about 40M i'd say, these speeds,i reckon it's cheating if you need an air strip to hit your top speed or if it's just speed run gearing and too hot for a whole run.It runs really cool at this gearing, after 8 mins 130F for the motor and the esc isn't even warm.

Sounds good, be sure to post back what sort of speeds you can hit. Sounds like you can gear quite a bit higher than your at now if you wanted to.

So when your ready for a real car and not that brittle losi thing let me know and I'll sort you out with a T2 :P
