Does that mean you will be selling it, or retiring it to shelf-queen status?
With the FLM lower arms, I would have said making something like the Gorillamaxx lower a-arms should work, just a little alloy block that bolts in place on the a-arm, then has holes for the shock a bit higher up to replicate the stock design.
Whats your new job?

It means I keep it as it is right now (+ Ofna shocks) but I keep running it ! I don't want to store it after 5 years of mods & $$$ I just have to be more kind with it
I saw in your first build thread the little alloy blocks, I asked FLM if they can make some, we'll see.
I got a job of consultant in Paris, I give advice to SMEs concerning accountancy, finance matters, fiscal concerns, matter of law, human resources, marketing... The required skills are numerous and various but that's what I like. It's well paid and I found it quickly : 4 days ! . I begin May 31st... Short vacations but I can't complain ! Now I can finance new RC projects haha But it's time to work as well, and my job will be time-consuming

Personally, I think you should go with the strongest bashing suspension made, the UE EXT Suspension...you won't break those! Also, you need to be running either UE Supershocks or their Ofna counterparts (Like Ofna Ravager Rear Shocks).
And the best part, I have both, and they are yours if you want them!

Thanks George16
I thought about this solution ZippyBasher. I asked FLM if they can make these blocks, here is Jamie's answer : "We originally had something like that when we first machined these. To keep cost low we eliminated them. We could offer this part in addition to the arms. But it would be an additional part.". I asked him if some of these blocks were lying around and if he wanted to give them . If not, I keep my RPM arms and maybe one day I would be motivated to make these bloks myself (I need better tools and a nice work station !!). I love the look of your maxx by te way, really custom !
Thanks a lot Chadworkz for the offer but I don't want to use collector parts in my maxx, I need parts which can be replaced easily And I've already ordered UE shocks

I hear ya, but let me know if you change your mind. I have enough parts to build another full-blown Thunder/EXT based nitro Supermaxx, so I may just do that like I have planned...I don't know. All I need is an engine, and I think I will go with the LRP ZR.30 X Competition with a Roto-Start Backplate.

The Supershocks are easy to mount, spare parts are included to mount another shock, that's cool !
Before :
After :
vs. Big Bore :
I used 2 caster spacers between the tower and the standoffs, and some spacers included with the Supershocks at the bottom of the shocks to have them vertical :
And good news, the shocks don't rub against the stock driveshafts !
I wanted to test the ejector pins used by george16 because I'm fed up bending Lunsford hinge pins (lower ones). I needed a good bolt cutter to cut these pins ! Here is the result :
Given that my tools are really basic I can't do what george16 did so I wedged the pins thanks to their head and the bumper mounts. I can't do that with the front lower pins so I kept the Lunsford ones.
I bought the Lunsford 4x115mm titanium turnbuckles to replace the Traxxas optional 5141A toe links, I didn't like the space between the rod end and the bottom of the threaded portion of the latter (aesthetic concern yes). So don't worry the Traxxas ones are great !

Some pics of the build :
I can't reassemble my maxx right now I need the bellcrank posts I broke during the last session. I will soon receive them with my ProTek 2s 50C lipo packs for my ERBE.
Last pics next weekend !

Neither do I...
But I'm done with my E-Maxx, my leisure time is now really limited with my first job. Now I prefer running my MTs rather than testing options. I hope this final version will be the good one !
