Another interestng looking buggy:http://atomic-carbon.gforceimages.net/slim4.htm
Looks kinda like a durango that you may actually be able to buy, except without the dual adj. slipper.Looks like alot of BJ4 bits but with more of a Durango layout.

Edit;the thing like about this layout is it has cut outs for 8 cells, reckon i could fit 4s lipo in that thing,a pair of 2s transverse next to each other, scary.

Thats a nice buggy, on 4s lipo that thing would certainly drop some jaws at the track!

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

I wonder if it will handle a 1920/8 with 4s lipos!!! The problem is that the chassis is small and narrow which would make the whole process of using lipos and brushless very difficult.

I thought that was Masami. I liked the 540 off the quarter pipe

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but is there any kind of rumour backing up this idea of a TRF buggy?

As for the Dark Impact - i'm really tempted - but i just hope Tamiya bring out some graphite swag etc for it...

I was going to buy one and put the 5300/2S Lipo in it, but if there is a chance of a TRF offerring then i might wait for that instead

The design of it looks a bit funny though - i'm not a big fan of the enourmously long steering linkage on the DF03, but hmm - should be an interesting summer with brushless really starting to take off

Brushless - How fast do you wanna go today?

There's a UK company making carbon stuff for the DF03 already, they've been racing it,towers and some suspension tweeks so far but there talking of a chassis too.Saw it on ebay, search ' tamiya dark impact' on ebay.co.uk.It basically needs cvds some better shocks and for tamiya to release the slipper, then i could see it being competative for very little money.

You'd be waiting a year atleast for a TRF version i would have thought, maybe forever,i'd just get one, very cheap from japan on ebay, and make a few changes as they become available.

Here's a link to those towers;http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tamiya-Dark-Im...QQcmdZViewItem

My reply is verry late, but Tamiya has surely brought out its secret weapon.
Search for it using any popular search engine or just look around here by typing TRF501X.

I think I should prepare a parts list for this buggy anytime now.
