all of it is optional, hence not required. So if you want to take that approach why change anything? Just get the Baja 5b for $1000 and run it with the supplied gas engine.

The overall idea is to make your 5b bulletproof and rid yourself of a vehicle that requires any kind of fuel to run it as well as limiting reapirs due to plastic parts breakage. Or if you just don't want to spend that much money, then go to Radioshack and get yourself one of those $100-$200 cheapo R/C vehicles and have at it.

Maybe you missed it, but this thread is in the BRUSHLESS FORUM.

The idea is to make a brushless baja 5b that can outrun a gas one. Castle Creations isn't marketing anything more than a brushless conversion. To do what that baja did in the video cost no more than $2600. That's that.
