Nno -- we used a little different rotor in the 1415 -- it's a little smaller in diameter than the 1515 rotor.

It was more expensive for the tooling, but we got better performance. This way we have more room for copper in the windings.

Thanx!

1/8" shaft. Saw one with the MMP SCT combo at the LHS.

I guess Patrick is intensionally ignoring the question of if it is possible that 5mm shaft versions of these motors might be offered in the future. would really like to see that.

Yeah -- the shaft through the motor is 5mm, and it's turned down to 3.15mm so standard pinions can be used.

If there is enough interest, we could do a 5mm shaft version.

Thanx!

How about a 5MM shaft motor maintenance package with replacement rotor? (for 1406, 1410, 1415)

+1 vote for 5mm

I'm running a Lehner Basic XXL with a 4mm shaft. I am using 5mm pinions and a 4mm to 5mm sleeve. Hell, I'm running a Lehner 1530-8Turn in my E-Revo 1/16th. I have 4mm pinions for all my rides ;-)

I bore all my 48p pinions myself. I put 3.15mm pinions in the chuck of my drill press, and I press them on to a 5/32" drill bit held in a vice.

5mm shaft would be nice on the 1410 and 1415.

another ditto on the 5mm shaft. i have a 1410 going in my crt .5 and the last thing i want to do is break the motor shaft. my pinions are all also 5mm bore, but a simple bore reducer fixes that. it's the breakage i'm worried about.

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.
