Yeah not too impressed, I realise that I was running over the RPM limit, (85000RPM, though I never did hit full throttle) so was aware of the risks but I've ran many cheaper motors under far higher loads with no issues.

I'd of expected Neu to of been more durable.

I'll be going to Lehner next, I started disliking Neu when I needed to take the can apart but they use 0.7mm grubs in the can, pathetic really, no chance of getting those out even with a decent driver they'd of just rounded.

hard to find the right words for that... power project... jesus...

go for a tenshock motor, they're six pole motors, have massive torque, and they have a special way to put the magnets on the rotor. they aren't too expensive, too. they just get into the 1:8 car market. look at the ""toro bl combo, the motor is made by tenshock.

very cool, and very fast.
I was expecting the can to explode into pieces...any pictures of the broken magnet? was that last cartwheel what broke it? or was it not in the video?

The cartwheel at the end was caused from the magnet shattering and locking the motor, it turned my slipper into a jigsaw puzzle as well, lol.

If Neu didn't put stupid little grubs on the can, maybe I could get in and take pics.

Mail it to neu, you will likely get another on the house...

The rotor may not have been wrapped (oversight?). I cannot see the kevlar coming apart.

Pdel from CC says they have test spun their wrapped maginet assys past 100k rpm without failure. I think you got a dud motor.

I can see the kevlar torn in the can slightly.

I know I ran over 60k recommended and that it breaking would be a result of that (based on paper specifications) but I would of expected it not too, lol.

I'll drop Steve an e-mail.

I'm glad you said orange! Yeah it was dyed bright orange but came out closer to a rusty brown.

I have just a cheap large 3000kv motor coming but hoping to get a Lehner 1930/7 for it.
