Hey all, I'm building E-Revo and I have a bunch of questions. I have G2R conversion kit and single speed conversion. Front and rear ends are coming. I have been thinking the motor esc combo and it's quite hard to make up my mind what to choose. I'm pretty sure that esc will be MGM 120 amp or 160 amp version. Another option is Quark Monster Pro. Recomendations? Motor is more difficult to pic, I would like to try Lehner 1940/8, but its a bit expensive... Also I have been looking BK Wanderer 20XL motors and Lehner basic XL motors, but witch one is good. What about gearing? I'm gonna use 2 7,4 V maxamp 8000 mAh or 2 7,4 V 12000 mAh Lipos, so Amps should not be the problem. What I want is smooth and cool driving with good run times. I'm open for suggestions.
Another issue is ubec, I need one if I'm going to use MGM esc, what about with Quark?
I'd like to make E-revo quite light weight so I'm gonna use only one steering servo. Whitch one is good enough? Also tires and wheels are open, I was thinking Bowtie/Wabash, is there better choise for light weight setup? I bought my E-maxx transmission used, so I don't have spur or slippery on it, is this any good:
