Just a thought - Take the label of the motor before you put the HS to get better thermal conductivity...

I was debating about stripping my chassis - looks good

LiPo still isn't here, I think the mail system is slacking. I also forgot to order my 4s LBA10 cable so I can't charge it until it gets here. I'll have to get it sent home and it will be there by the time I get there. I can't wait to get this thing running

I got the truck strung together for a beta test run. It runs good for about 20ft then it hits the binders automatically. I think it's the radio, but I'm not sure yet. I don't have everything in their exact location yet, everything is just laying on the chassis. What do you guys think?

Sounds like the radio, but you can always try moving the rx around on the chassis, to double check.

That's what I'm thinking. I believe the steering still works even when the throttle goes out. Could it be a bad connection?

Figured out the charger and balancer. The LBA10 is cool, it's a balancer, discharger, and even standalone!

Ran 1 pack through the truck, still have some left in the LiPo when I charged it. I ran it for about 3 mins on the 2nd pack before I stripped my 4th spur. :( I ordered a 34T Hot Racing spur which should be here today.

I'm still having those glitching problems. We'll see what I can do, I just put in new transmitter batteries and I'm gonna check the crystals and connections to see if anything is wrong or coming off. Anyone have any suggestions? The BEC and Rx are in the Tekno box, sealed off from the mamba. I also used heat shrink everywhere, looks a lot better, especially on the 5.5 plugs.

Oh, and I mounted everything! :D I made a 1/4" sheet of lexan for the bottom of the battery tray and mounted it with 3mm and 4mm screws. I also made a 1/8" plate for the Mamba Max out of auminum and mounted that with 4mm screws. I soldered out the switch on the Mamba and heatshrinked that, then extended the BEC wiring so it could reach into the box easily. After that was all done, I made myself the brace for the RCM heat sink. It didn't come with one on the back, so I had to fab one. Came out nice, just needs to be trimmed on the sides. Lastly, I took a 12V fan from an old Pentium processor and cut it to length, then soldered it on. Still gotta mount it, probably gonna use silicone or something similar.

Now all I need is some sticky velcro and foam for the Mamba and some velcro straps for the battery and I'll be set. I'm thinking some Tekno or GorillaMax straps. Then I can focus on making this bad boy GREEN!

Pics soon to come!

gtx, try moving the ubec away from the reciever and see if that helps the glitching problems. What brand of ubec is it? I have had more issues with the cheapo chinese units and have not had any with the cc bec. The cheapo ones are very "noisy" and will cause probs with the rec. Or disconnect it and run a receiver pack and see if that helps. Or try some al foil around the ubec, I just thought of that Hope this helps.

Starluck UBEC, that's the problem. I'm running 4 AA's in an old school holder zip tied to my front shock tower, heh. I'm gonna try to hit the track tomorrow. I'll get a Castle UBEC when i get home. This'll work for now :)

Truggy or buggy? I already have a RC8 lined up to convert. I'm also gonna try to get a MGT for the girlfriend and we both want to get TTR ST-1s. :)
