i personally perfer the the lehner over the feigao because a lehner with the same kv rating as a feigao has more torque and has longer runtimes because they have a higher efficiency rating as well as a screwed on endbell so you dont have to worry about the can popping. if you were gonna race or just want the best i would go with a lehner. the xl3100 is what i have in a 8 lb e-maxx and it is the fasted thing i have ever seen. i can gear it to do 60 without a problem. with the right cell count the lehner will provide excellent torque as well as speed. honestly i dont think torque should be a big concern with brushless unless your truck weights as much as a hummer.

@squee; the lehner XL serie hasn't got the torque of a feigao L series. It takes a bigger lehner to get in that torque range.

How much cells are you using to get your XL3100 powered maxx to go 60 mph?

It was a 9L I compared it against.

On the 9L I had a hard time getting the gearing right.

Yeah, Nick, the 9L is a good motor, too. Fast as heck, no doubt. I just like the 7XL better.

Plettenbergs are really overrated, IMHO. I would take a high end Lehner over a Plett any day. But for now the Feigao / Wanderer XL does a perfect job for me.

I agree..the 7XL and BK9920 .... My vote for sure.... my 7XL runs cool on 12 Cells... at 18 cells and a fan it only gets to about 47 degrees celcius.... and it's moving a 16Lb LST.... The best BANG for the BUCK, no doubt...
