I use blue locktite and a good allen driver.

I just put standard truggy gears in my truck, with my setup its geared for 60 on 6s.. with a 14t pinon- I have a 20t waiting in the wings.

not to be an ass but how are u verifying ur speed, i doubt any one running a crt x1 is hitting those speeds with that huge spur limiting pinion options, plus this would mean a 75mph truggy is running on 5s and yet at a wheelie with stock spur. proof needed

I've got some buggy diffs I'm about to drop in & some new foam tyres...

I think with what I have in gears & parts 100mph is possible?

How far does the general consensus allow modifications because aero is an obvious area of improvement?

Just some food for thought for you guys running a 2.5 or 3.3 Revo converted and want to gain speeds or is currently limited by gear selection: Get a Slayer tranny. The overall ratio is lower than the Revo and has the same clutch application to lock in 2nd gear. This should open up some gears and allow higher top speeds provided you have the power there.

the crt x1 already has buggy diffs in it so if u need more gearing options nitrostarter drop to a 46t spur.

I had a very quick run as a storm was coming...

I've lowered my 8T & was conservatively geared at 44/24 with 100k in the centre diff...2 "passes" (the street is only 200ft long) with the throttle wound way down 80/140% easy to drive & quick enough...2 "passes" at 140/140% & "OMFG what have I created"...then the heavens opened up

Next effort will be at a suitable location, without rain & will include GPS/video

I think I need a mid rear drive shaft bearing or smaller batteries!

2 x rear shafts bent out of round when I get up around 60-70% throttle, the sound is awful. I was thinking about an alum mount (could combine a rear motor mount for the RCM mount) & fixed delrin bearing, mid shaft to stop the problem. I'm not sure what else to do...everything else seems fine, it seems like it's just the load through the shafts. I'm running 6S G3 VX 6500

Anyone else had this problem?

I've made no real progress, I've moved house & a few other things...

I have however made an alloy pillow block for the rear centre shaft, bought 2 x new rear shafts and bearings. I'll be running soon
