What do you guys mean? I have a ton of ma cells already, they just have blue shrinkwrap on them and are reasonably priced. Plus they have bigger wire so they are better right?

Kind of off topic, but did you see how much they are charging for sub-c cells? 10 bucks each! They are charging 10 bucks for a dead technology! I dont even think sub-c cells went for that much when that was all there was. But then again these sub-c cells have fancy flames on them! I wonder what they really are? Sanyo? Panasonic? The crappy cardboard wrapped ones with a MA shrinkwrap job? My bet is the latter. I wonder why they dont sell their lipo cells individually?

They used to sell individual lipo cells but it would give away the fact now that they are using the "b" grade turnigy cells in their 150c super packs! That's why we only got a 12c graph and they sucked at that discharge rate.

I apologize for correcting you, but 12C is giving too much credit.

The Graph, the Maxamps Lipo sucked at, was less than 8C.

There's no way to know what they are putting inside the hardcase packing that are being sent to market.

One thing is for sure though, I'm not curious enough, only to be disappointed, and give them any of my money.

Maximum RIPOFF!

No worries dude I though I was being a liitle generous with the rating to but for the advertised rating it was close enough for me. I dealt with their packs once years ago and that was enough for me. Run 90% turnigy packs now not that I'm proud of it to support them being from china but it's cost effective and they perfom well so that leaves me more cash for cc products!

I read through the rcgroups postings and Brandon defends the C ratings that Maxamps posts. Its a shame to see him do that after we have explained what they mean and he probably now must realize that the batteries they sell for numerous reasons cant put out the current levels that they claim. At first I thought about giving him the benefit of the doubt and thought he just didnt understand what they meant, but it seems like he does know what he is doing.
Lets face it, if they posted 8C ratings then they wouldnt sell any batteries at all. All they have is their marketing that keeps them going.

Oooooh...............

So this is why Maxamps didn't want to publish any real world testing against the competition!

We all knew it anyway.

And I have a conffession that I fit into the 'never owned a maxamps' group but my excuse is I have been guided by the 'creme del a creme' RMC

Well aren't we all surprized about these results? I mean come on even the Maxamps lovers would have to know that these packs are no better than any other packs, but yet priced as if they are made of real gold. How may people on here will rebut these results? Yes finally some one took the time to do some testing and comparison graphs up against some of the more reasonably priced packs and came up with real world results and we all knew what the outcome was going to be. So of course the whole warranty situation is also a bunch of crap, because who in their right mind would want to pay that much for a warranty return when you can purchase a better performing pack for much less. I wonder how the people who bought these packs prior and had to pay extra for this so called warranty feel about Maxamps now? Its like he stated you can purchase three or four packs from one of their competitors and come out much better performance wise and save yourself some money. From a consumer perspective I think that Maxamps should change their flame wraps to a steaming turd with flat tires on it.

SUPERMAXX YOUR LIFE.

MA is just form of legalized scamming for profiteers.
A fool and his money is easily departed<= That is how/why there business model works.

Most people Ive met with MA after discussing real world dynamics with them they dump that rump and score real Lipoes by selling there overprices POS to some other uneducated idiot on fleabay/Craigslist.
Then score 2+ of the "Made in China" lolz.

To quote the great Nelson muntz, "ha-ha!". Wow a 30amp bulb discharge, think I mentioned that before but about the results I expected. Pretty sad though couldn't get anymore runtime than a 5000 with that extra 1500 mah that's supposedly in there. Might have to throw this up on RC-tech just to piss people off.
