no offence but we have been hearing for months about castle looking into releasing the esc first. is there any info you can give? has any time table been set?

True and Bomb-proof did pletty max and big max'es and no trouble. I think the problem is how the Neu's are built that the MM has trouble with, not the slot or not.
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

My MM worked fine with my Neu 1521 and 1527. My BBP truggy wasn't fast due to the low Kv of the motors, but it worked fine. The Neu are built kind of like the Aveox and the MM worked fine with it. Only a little cogging, but nothing out of control.

Sensored and sensorless...all pole counts.

How can you give a timetable on something that you're inventing? We don't give out estimates for that reason...you never know when something you're inventing is going to be done until it is. ;)

I hated the cogging with my 1515/1y. Just me but when I wanted my E-Maxx to go I wanted it to go. Just me.

you can give a timetable based on the progress that is being made. maybe not an exact date but a ball park.
also I have heard that the esc was done months ago but waiting on motors. basically we are just looking for any info or incentive to hold off on buying something else.

Sorry, but you can't do that in this business. If we give an estimate and it takes longer than expected we have a lot of upset people on our hands because we didn't release it on the estimated date.

At least you are looking at the forums, and seeing what fellow rc'ers are looking for. Thats a good sign. Now the next step will just be to release the darn thing.

okay, but I really think your lack of information is turning people away. in april on another forum you said "The ESCs are pretty much done...we're pretty good at those" yet 6 months later there is no info, and no update. :( really I like my MM but with the lack of info and these type of response "you never know when something you're inventing is going to be done until it is. ;)"
I am finding it harder to justify giving my money to castle. I really dont think I am asking for much. Just some information. If castle is unable to give any real information then I will just have to take my $$$ elsewhere.
atleast with tekin they might be way behind schedule but we do know the units exist and are working.

Seems to me you have enough upset people at the moment to worry about upsetting them with a wrong release date.
This thread alone has over 600 posts dating back to last year. You can understand Gixxer's attitude because we are all like children in a way. (no offence Gixxer) If you promise something you better produce something. But you’re not talking with children. We are all adults here. We have no proof that you are even working on a Monster Max. I can understand secrecy but why promise a product you never report to us on? All we want is information. What’s the hold up? Software? Electronics? Mass production? We all understand that making something from scratch takes time. We all convert things. (RC’s) We understand time. I feel the issue is if Castle is not being straight forward with me why should I wait for a product from them. I have needs now that I can spend my money on. Why wait for something I really don’t know will come out. If Castle wants more business then they need to give a little. I know there are many people on more forums then this one that have waited a long time. That’s money Castle is giving to other companies because of their lack of information. We have all seen companies go out of business because of the same mistake. We can go other places for the same things. It would be amazing to see how many tempers would cool off with a little update from Castle. Might have a few people looking for other products wait a little longer. IMO
I am not mad or angry but I am starting to look other places for solutions to problems I have now.

I am not just getting by with my MM, It is performing very well with some minor modifications. I ran a 30min main this past Sunday with my 1/8 buggy with no issues. Temps in the 140's. I'm running an Neu 1512 2d/f and have no cogging. I don't need an MMM. I am just starting a truggy project and that will have an MM in it too...unless the Tekin or MMM come out first

exactly, I can understand delays but to not give any updates is basically just driving your customers away.

Because Castle has not given us any information to the contrary.
Some expectations were set, certain teaser web pages were posted, certain comments from Castle reps were made, be it online or at events in person, and that created demand. Both demand for a product and demand for information. I've no doubt that proclaiming a ship date would be a mistake however perhaps bringing us into the fold of your development cycle would show us that work is being done, progress is being made and that there is in fact light at the end of this tunnel.
It happens often in may other industries. I'll give you one example, Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac. Announced over a year ago, horribly delayed, Microsoft has since released a "preview" web site ( http://www.macoffice2008.com/) with all the info about the product, screen shots, requirements, specs, movies of it in action, you name it. Why? To make the wait seem shorter and to show it's potential customers that they are working to serve their needs.
Sure we want the physical MMM in our hands but you would be surprised how thirst quenching a little information can be.
Thanks for posting.

I fully agree except for the can't part. You could just as easily say that you can't say "coming soon" in bold letters at the top of a full web page promo and then fail to have the product out well over a year later; But Castle did and now there are alot of upset people. I'm not upset, but I am just about done waiting. By Christmas my Quark is going into "backup retirement". If there is still no mmm I'll order a Compro like everyone else and it will work just fine.
