E-Slayer bashing with Maxx-1 - 12.05.2008, 08:35 AM

My 2 trucks fooling around
E-Slayer temps
ESC: 104-110 peak at 114defF
Motor: 115-120 peak at 122degF
batt: 98-101 degF

Maxx-1 Temps
ESC: 114-122 peak at 126degF
Motor: 122-130 peak at 133degF
batts: 100-108degF

nothing really special. The driver of the MAXX-1 is still trying to get use to the MGM ESC and my settings stills needs to be tuned for that matter. Got some donut attempts on the first vid...2nd vid got more donut fun...

Bash part 2

Donut Fun

Hope you enjoy them...thanks

The gears themselves can handle BL power, you just need to lock it into either 1st or 2nd gear. If you want to use the E-Maxx tranny you'll want to borrow a dye grinder, you can Dremel it but it's soo much easier with a proper tool.

All I ever wanted was an honest weeks pay for an honest days work.

So out of the two gears I was thinking about locking it into second gear... Would first gear be better

you want 2nd gear only, it would be pretty slow with just first. brushless motors don't need automatic tranny's, unless it's purely for speed runs.

E- slayer - 06.30.2009, 04:55 PM

So with the transmission I was thinking could I just do the 3.3 revo gearing in hardened steel. Would that fit in the slayer transmission.....

I'm late to the party here! But MAN! What a build! I too missed this! I just made myself an E-Slayvo as I call it using Slayer arms, bumpers, etc on an ERevo chassis. I'm now at a crossroads.... either buy an SC8 body and be done, OR...maybe sell it. It's a wonderful truck and all. But I'm not sure that SC trucks are my thing really. That's what it boils down to for me. It's very stable on this platform, but still... it's meant for the dirt track so it can drift and hit low, long jumps. It's not a backyard basher.

But a direct drive set up!? That is unreal! Great job!

BTW.... this thread is mega old... but still, I would love to see more pix of your body or others you have made to help me decide!

I just looked and found that TruckBasher's last post was on 12/06/2008? It's strange he would have just disappeared like that isn't it? Has anyone heard from him?? I don't know him at all... but I just find that as strange.
