Hi Guys
Question.
I'm building up a couple of projects using mounts/motors/ESC etc from Mike. Now, I'm very familiar with brushed and brushless electric setups but admit to being a bit of a newbie with LiPos.
What kind of temperature should be treated as a maximum for the LiPo's themselves during use?
I'm wary of them to say the least and take huge care when storing and charging them, but discharging in the car is a bit Gray for me right now.
Thanks
Marcus
I get concerned if the temps go over 120 personally. If they are getting warmer than that you are probablly pushing them rather hard and their life cycle will be reduced. Most of the packs I run rarely get above 20 or so degrees above ambient temperature.
I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

I agree with the 120 temp, even though most manufacturers say 140. Mine all run less than 120.
