Question emaxx troubles! Help! - 02.13.2008, 02:34 AM

[FONT="Franklin Gothic Mediu" hey guys i need your help i have an emaxx with a 9xl with mamba max esc, racer x shocks, carbon chasis, ue arms, ive only changed my idler gear which came from rcmonster ive joined at least 6 races last year. My problem right now are my gears it seems that I've been crushin my diffs my tranny gear have been shreded too what could i do to bulletproof my ride and still light enough to race? By the way spur is a regular 66t and i have 20t, 18t& a 16t pinion gear

as far as diffs go I would just get some complete diffs out of a new 3905 maxx. They fit the old maxx just have better gears and beefed up cases. Im running twin vxl in my 3905 and my diffs handle the torque with no problem.

Mod 1 gears might be an idea for the spur and pinion, but otherwise I would just say check the mesh carefully and that the motor isnt flexing too much or anything.

thanks guys will look for the new 3905 diffs! Actually my pinion is alrady from robinsons racing 5mm bore 32 pitch. Do i need a a slipperential?

I'm almost 100% positive RRP doesn't make 5mm 32P pinions.

Doesnt mention it on the RCM store- just says they are custom made by RCM....

sorry about that my bad! so anybody have any suggestions on how i could bullet proof my ride at the same time use it for racing?
