Lvc? - 02.13.2008, 11:38 AM

After having my nerves calmed by Artur about running 5s on my MM that he modified i'm going to go for it. I will need to disable the onboard LVC though.

What is a solid external LVC? I'm ordering Lipo gear Friday and want to order this at the same time.

I have read about the li-saver but seen that if you have reverse enabled, which I do that it can send your truck into full reverse, that sounds bad with a 1515 1y and 5s.....

Mike sells a version made specifically for cars. It fixes the reverse problem that is encountered when using the standard airplane version.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

Ordered the LVC, now ofr a setup question.

it seems simple enough but I have a ubec in the loop as well.

do I connect the lvc to the ubec or esc cable to plug into the rx?

the battery part looks self explanitory.

I think you might need a Y-cable unless you have another spare slot on the RX. The lvc goes between the esc and channel 2 slot on the Rx, simple enough, but the ubec also needs to plug into the channel 2 slot on the Rx... yep, Y-cable needed I think.

I have been plugging the ubec into the battery slot on rx in my rusty, but that was with just the ubec.

You can leave the bec in the batt slot, just put the lvc between the esc and receiver
