Any of you racer run swaybars on your E-maxx? If you do, what kind do you run? I bought one set but it looks way to stiff and is really heavy and bulky so I never even put it on!
thanks guys!
Working on:
Twin CF GorillaMaxx (8S motors on 2x2slipo)
2WD AL. GorillaMaxx (7lbs with batteries)
I was reading your sig, what did you do to get ur E down to 7.5lbs, besides a single motor setup w/ lipo. Because the AL shock towers would add weight, and the rpm Steel cvd's also add weight, especially if your still running 4WD setup.......
i have converted to 2wd, 1 shock per wheel, removed shift servo, and 7075 T6 pillow balls, TI hingepins, and i'm only down to 10lbs w/ batts
these is the weight reduction I did:
feigao 8l motor 275 compared to 450 stock motors.
panther komodo tires and rpm rims 140g each (compared to stock 325g)
4 shocks only (-80g), al. pivot ball (-40g), al. turnbuckles (-30g), no front and rear bumpers and cut skids (-75g), single speed (custom made -50g) no shifting servo (-50) all this adds up to a swift 3000g on the scale and my 2s li-po weight 200g each so it adds up to 3400g with batteries! :O) anybody can do it, just not with big 8000 li-po.
Gorillamaxx shock towers weight the same as stock when using 4 shocks,
you should weight yours without batts to see!

RPM rims are 55g each for the Titan and 48g each for the claws! I habe both! The new LPR rims and tires from prolines are pretty light also (185g) and with 4000 4s li-po you sould be able to reach 8lbs no problem...
I run stock plastic skids, stock bulkheads and arms! only parts in aluminium I put in is the gorillamaxx chassis, shock tower and motor mount cause it didn't add any weight. I always take weight off, never addind more unless nesserary... like the cvd's but that 100g that's really worth it! lol unless you like changing your plastic driveshaft every race!
