Does the G1 mount allow the motor to be moved farther from the spur then the stock e-maxx plate?

Are you trying to put a bigger pinion on your motor?

Nope- it is exactly the same mounting pattern as the stock unit. A dremel will soon fix any issues you have though.....

Yes and No. Ordered the mount yesterday and was curious. The smalles RR spur I got for the DD Slipper is 66 and desn't mesh with my largest pinion of 26. I bought a Kimbrough 64 and have the slipper balls but haven't tried it. I picked up all the stuff to mod the emaxx tranny to use the revo slipper and a 58t spur but didn't want to do the mod yet. I'll dremmel the stock plate to make fit.
