luckily the 1st gen hackers have lame startup routines otherwise on that sort of power your drivetrain would shit a brick.

On another note i wonder why you have taking the sides of your rustlers chassis away as that surely will reduce the chassis torsional stiffness and strength making the chance of the chassis breaking or bending and damaging your battery much higher.

Im using a VXL Tranny so Im fine... I customized the chassis to lose a little weight and to cut down on the draft under the chassis to keep it on all 4's. The chassis is still very strong. I dont notice any flexing.

I am glad that the hacker esc is working well on 5s. I had a feeling that if you disabled the internal bec, and did not load the motor too much it would be fine. Not sure if a rustler would ever be able to really load an 8xl though! Looks like fun, thanks for the vid!

I'm very surprised. I swear the Hacker car controllers only handled 3S lipos. I have a Master Car Race and I might give it some thought.

I say go for it! My hacker hasnt even gotten a little warm yet either. It always ran at about 50 degrees and its around 45 degrees outside. It seems as if its no problem for it.

I sure hope that the 64-63 size outrunner with the 53/30 size stator isnt going to be to much for it to handle. I doubt it will but you never know. If anything does go wrong Im headed straight for the MMM ESC.

I do to, but im trying to make a design for a front wing that doesnt reduce speed dramatically but yet be able to keep the front wheels planted at high speeds.

By the way I broke my first part which was an output yoke (not surprising). Also here is pic of the 32p setup and the damaged part.

Nicely done. I know traxxas sells metal output yolks, so you could try them, or cvds, or 3.3spec shafts....

Power is addictive isnt it? :D
