The gold tub is definitely an RC10. The flat chassis with the funky rear a-arms is also an RC10 with a trailing arm conversion kit on it IIRC. The 4wd chassis with chain drive looks like a Kyosho of some sort.

I remember when the chain was pretty standard for 4WD rigs [dates himself]. Then again my first RC was a Tamyia GrassHopper if that says anything.

the 4wd looks to me like possibly an AYK radiant, the top chassis looks like an RC10 w/alec&lane trailing arm conversion, there is a spare pair of arms in pic #2. The gold tub looks to have an origional 6 geared tranny (rare to see these days)

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

May I ask why you would sell those? A: They are your dad's. That to me would mean something. And B: It would be awesome to build them to spec and put them on a shelf.

because

A- my dad does not care for them anymore (i do have his permission to sell them...)

B- i dont do shelf queens. no reason to waste money into something that i will not put to use.

its just a waste of space in my room. im trying to clear the clutter

so today i was lookin through some old stuff and refound these older trucks. i may do what hummerman and try restoring a couple of them for the fun of it.

i would really like to know what that chain driven truck is because it would be the best candidate right now. (all it needs is body and 1 dogbone.)

thanks for any help you guys can give me on these trucks!

If you want to redo the gold chassis rc10 I have a bunch of parts that would work. PM me if you are interested, I'll give you a good price!!!

I'm pretty sure Crazyjr hit the nail on the head with all of them. The AYK Radiant might be the version just before. I don't remember what it was, but it went under a different name. If you search for AYK Radiant, you will find it. Race Prep out of Chatsworth, CA was the distributor. The Dunn brothers, Mike and Steve. I have seen them active on one of the forums recently, they may even have some old stock of parts?

On second thought, what are those NIP Kyosho parts? There are also some wheel adapters close by that look like the early Kyosho ones. The 4wd could be an early Optima perhaps? The shocks certainly aren't Race Prep ones, but it was common to change them.

Those are all nice.

If you do decide to sell them, I am interested in that gold pan rc10. It brings back warm fuzzy memories of childhood. I can still remember when my neighbor down the street got one when they first came out. 87-88 I believe is correct.
