Savage BL motor mounts... -
09.11.2005, 12:59 AM
Hey all, just wondering if anybody would be willing to make me up a motor mount to bolt a brushless motor into my Savvy for a set price?
I would be running a 8L motor. Any help would be appreciated.;)
Thanks

If I had the dimensions, I could do it.
Have you ordered the 8L yet? If you haven't, I would reccommend a different motor, as the 8L will get pretty hot in a Savage.

On how many cells would you like to run your savage? somewhere in one Savage thread on this forum is a drawing of that motorplate.
for a savage the 8L would not be my choice either, the best motor you can use is the 7XL, on 14-18 cells but it even would perform verry good on 12 cells. Talk about one wide range motor.. ;)

I don't have a Savage to experiment with. If I had one, then I might be able to make a mount. So, if anyone wants to give me their Savage, I will be happy to take it :).

I'm running it with 16 cells (the movie was with the plettenberg) but i am going to get a savage with 20 cells and a 8XL (with a horizontal frame instead of vertical)

the knuckles/c-hubs are Newera, upperarms, lowers TVP's and shocktowers are FLM, diffcases are GPM, Dynamyte bulkheads, superstrong diffs (home made modifications with HB cups) and HB cvd's around. UE shocks
Mothman. I was thinking about buying a K4,6 and use that motor for this savage. (nitro) i wanted to drop a 7XL and 16 cells in it.. Who knows, my girl doesn't want me to have 4 cars.. (perhaps i'll take her out for diner sometime again..) ;)
