You could probably pick up a Team Associated TC4 pretty cheap on ebay since your only farting around with it. That is the only 1/10 electric kit I have used/owned

It was just a fart around car aswell but not using Brushless, just a 15t Peak motor powered by a Novak ESC. A good thing with the TC4 chassis is that it can also hold 7 cell batteries and being shaft drive doesn't require as much maintaince which means more farting around time

I had a TC5 for a while and absolutely LOVED it. I ran a 12t Speedgems motor and a MM ESC on 6 cells. Then I sold it for $750. Really loved the car, though but the offer was too good to pass up.

Just grab a TC3. Unless you are racing hardcore, you dont need a TC5. Tons of parts for TC3, they are cheap and durable. If you cant win a race with a TC3, you are doin something wrong.

I had a TC4 with a Mamba Max 7700kv kit in it running a 2s lipo. I loved it, but had to sell it to finish another project It had good run time and was stupid fast. Foam tires are needed on loose surfaces though. I can remember my gearing, but i know it would do close to 70mph. I used it for burnouts, donuts, drifting, flying, shear terror, speed runs, and running on the practice track. It held up well though, i lost a lugnut and slung a tire.

Definately go with a TC3/TC4. Running 100+ on a 5700 4S setup. Takes the power all day with no problems AND takes a beating!!! I have had quite a bit of blow overs at 90+ and no problems!!!!

Love my TC3s. Can't go wrong with them. Tons of cheap parts available and awesome carbon fiber chassis options if you want to go that way as well.

TC3/TC4 is the way to go, sturdy, cheap, shaft drive, no belts. My TC3 takes the mm/7700 combo no problem and the gtb/5.5 before that. Lots of high speed crashes, lots of destroyed tires and it still runs.
