Novak HV? if so it is only good for 4s lipo. The 6.5 motor will be the best, but a feigao xl will be better, I responded more info in your other thread.

I've owned both and the novak motors are far superior in efficiency and quality to the feigao motors. Hopefully the novak motors will run well on the MMM, but I dont think anyone has tested that yet.

This is true, but the feigao xl motors can put out about twice as much power. The novak motors have to be turned faster to make up for the lack of torque.

fyi the 8xl on a 20t pinion gear is about the same speed as a properly geared HV 4.5 (10-11t pinion). Who runs an 8xl on a 20t pinion gear anyway? I certainly couldn't as motor and esc temps would reach 195F within about 5 minutes. But of course, a neu combo would probably be the best overall.

In what, an emaxx? I guess the choice goes to personal preference. If you like lots of low end torque, a larger diameter rotor will produce that. Novak makes a nice motor, but I wish it was bigger in diamter and lower kv.

In a Losi 8ight. Don't get me wrong, the 8xl has ton's of torque and seems to have even more punch the bigger the pinion used, but there is no way you can gear it that high without overheating issues.
