Question Help with Setup - 05.16.2008, 07:14 PM

Need help trying to decide what battery to get for my setup etc.
Buggy: 8ight
Motor: Neu 1512 2.5D
ESC: MMM
Gearing: 13T- 14T
Battery: 5S

Motor Specs
2050 RPM/Volt
volts: 7-20
Max Amps: 78*
*30 sec. at max. voltage. Otherwise, =Watts/your voltage.
Efficiency: 86%+
Rm (ohms) 0.006
IO: 2.5
1200 Watts Continuous
2500Watts - 30sec

I was looking at running the Protek 5S 4000mah which I already have 3 new sitting in my cupboard
Battery Specs
Capacity: 4000 mAh
Voltage/Cells: 18.5V/5S
Connector Type: (12 GA Wire)
Configuration: 5S1P
Maximum Charge Rate: 2C (8A)!
Maximum Continuous Discharge: 20C (80A)
Maximum Burst Discharge: 30C (120A) for 3 seconds

Was thinking about selling them to get difference ones with higher discharge for the MMM? Got told that the batteries will be enough for the Motor & ESC though. And if I wanted to sell the batteries and got other ones it would be like 3 - 4 weeks until I get the batteries and get the MMM going due to living in Australia. If I was to sell them I would probaby get the Thunder Power "eXtreme V2"

Capacity: 5000 mAh
Voltage/Cell: 18.5V/5S
Connector Type: 14 GA
Maximum Continuous Discharge : 25C (125A)
Maximum Burst Discharge : 50C (250A)

Losi 8ight
MMM V1 w/1.20
Airtronics MX3 2.4Ghz
TP 5S 5000mah
Neu 2.5D/F
